Kasta Morrely Organization

Kasta Morrely was partner of EuroDEMOS Association at

the national project
“Community needs YOUth!”
that took place from September 2010 to July 2011
funded with Support from European Commission
through Youth in Action Programme.

The Project “Community Needs YOUth!” approached and promoted structured dialogue as a useful tool for involving youth in decision making process through debates and dialogue at all levels and collaboration with relevant actors.

Main ACTIVITIES of the project were:

• Local Democracy Days: 12 meetings between young people and policy makers in education institutions in Iasi and rural areas
• “Civic Gratitude Day” included a Civic Consultation on how it is perceived by the citizens the activity of local elected officials from Iasi City Hall and Municipal Council Iasi in the benefit of the community. The citizens offered to elected officials certificates of civic gratitude, certificates of civic warning and certificates of civic sanction.
• The National Youth Meeting “Community Needs Youth” took place from 21 to 30 March 2011. Participants at this meeting were 30 youth leaders that represented national organizations of reference in youth work. The main topics of the meeting were promoting active citizenship, youth involvement in decision-making process and structured dialogue.
